New Development Officer: Leazona Bethell

Leazona Bethell comes to One Eleuthera
Foundation with a wealth of experience in non-profit work. The mother of two daughters and one son, is the wife of Mr. Ian Bethell-Bennett and works from the island of New Providence as OEF’s new Development Officer.

She has taken on the position from Mrs. Gacintha Gordon who now sits as the Registrar at CTI, and says she is elated to be part of our hard-working team!

Leazona is a former high school teacher in Bimini and Abaco and served as Executive Director of Abaco Pathfinders Scholarship Foundation for eight years! Mrs. Bethell grew up on Nassau and though she is not from Eleuthera, she is the great-granddaughter of Bethenny Bethel of Palmetto Point and the niece of the late Simeon Patton of Rock Sound, Eleuthera.

Leazona Bethell is full of personality, and performs with a band called "Suppa Time" out of Abaco. She has also recently discovered that she's a pretty good painter! She is excited about the work being done at One Eleuthera and looks forward to adding her special touch to the organization.

A Shared Vision

The Shared Vision for South Eleuthera, which was first commissioned by Friends of Lighthouse Point to develop a sustainable plan for Lighthouse Point and other special heritage and conservation sites on Eleuthera, inspired the formation of One Eleuthera.
